Al Gore wins Nobel Peace Prize - Climate Change - MSNBC.com

Al Gore wins Nobel Peace Prize - Climate Change - MSNBC.com

I am glad to hear that they Nobel committee has chosen Al Gore for their peace prize. His work to promote the cause for global warming has brought much needed attention to this important subject. Al Gore has had his critics and some of his critics have called him a hypocrite, but it does not take away from the fact that global warming NEEDS to be addressed and Al Gore's work for it should be commended.

Congratulations, Mr. Gore....and thank you.

Do I ever love football!!

Not only for the fact that my beloved Colts are now 5-0, but for the emotional roller coaster that a good football game can be. Did anyone else see that Bills/Cowboys game? Holy cow! Even though I was rooting for the Bills, I have to say that after the Cowboys last minute win, I was giddy with the excitement the whole game gave me. No doubt about it, the Cowboys came through in the end.

Damn, what a game!

Great place for wings!

I would imagine that most of the people in the North Country are familiar with this place, but I have just managed to get around to it after living here for 12 years. The place I am talking about is the Rusted Route on Route 3 just outside of Watertown heading towards Sackets Harbor. I went there today after a beautiful ride on the back of a motorcycle and we has their Sampler Platter, a hot chocolate with Bailey's Irish Cream and whipped cream, and, of course, some of their famous Black Betty Wings.

Let me tell you, the wings were AWESOME and the atmosphere is pretty great, too. With two big screen tvs (one in the bar and one in the dining area) and plenty of other smaller Tvs at the bar for football watching, this visit was a great Sunday outing. The bar was pretty crowded, and I not being much of a "at the bar" person found the dining room area very roomy and comfortable to eat and watch the game.

This is a place that I will definitely come to again! Their calender of events can be found at www.myspace.com/rustedroute.
